Those tacos were absolutely great loved it next time I'm going for the shrimp.

Had a nice lunch meal with my ladies. Food was delicious and on point like Chef Curry! Funny bc I just came here yesterday not more than 24 hrs ago. Lol fish tacos and shrimp burritos

I come here often but today's service was very upsetting. One of the staff members making food had ear buds in and one of the buds was dangling, bumping into the plates of food she was preparing. The prep station was an absolute mess and they were out of stock for many items. Several meals before mine were brought back because they were made incorrectly. The staff members were arguing with each other and complaining about how they didn't make enough money to be covering for someone else who needed help. Guests should not be able hear these types of conversations... Not sure if any of them were supervisors/managers (hopefully not) but clearly they needed help and better guidance today. It was simply a hot mess.

Most Rubio's are the same and in this case, that's a good thing. Always fresh and decent prices for what you get. The salsa bar is usually great too.

Man I only wish there was a Rubios where we live. We keep an eye out for it on all our road trips. Quality fish, and everything tastes good. You can't go wrong with anything on their menu.

I had a nicely wrapped and tasty salmon burrito. The salsa bar is always great. They were a little slow, but that's because they were swamped and make items to order.

Love the fish tacos. However this place never seems to have enough staff, has been like that for the past few years. Longer wait time.

Horrible. Was overpriced, food took forever to get even tho there was no one there. Salsa bar was a disaster and no one cleaned/work on it the 1 1/2 we were there. Staff wasnt rude but they weren't friendly either. There soda machine was done and they were out of the complimentary drinks for the kids meal (boxed milk and apple juice) so they charged us the full price to get a canned beverage which also ended up tasting horrible.

An hour before closing and they had already started packing up and cleaning everything while people were still coming in. There was a slimy film on the floor. Food was fine but took 25 minutes for a burrito and 3 tacos.

Our 1st clue that we should have turned around and walked out was the overflowing trash can. The 2nd was the handwritten sign on the register saying “out of shrimp”. 3rd was when only one of two meals came out and we were told, “we’re out of pinto beans”, which was supposed to be included with the plates we ordered. The 4th was when the other plate came out 10 minutes after the first, only after we asked about it. This visit was a second chance after finding hair in a meal at another location a few months ago. Won’t be going back to Rubio’s again.....

The quality of the service here wasn't the best when I first was introduced to this chain a couple months ago. I loved the food, but it always takes about 20 minutes to get the food. Fair exchange for good food if u ask me. The Second time a week later I had a long wait and incorrect order... so now I expect a long wait and I specify my order every time. Continue ordering once or twice a week but now it seems if I order anytime around 8 I won't get my food until about 9 when they close and the order is usually incorrect... fingers crossed for the order I'm waiting for this moment... 41 minutes and counting...

First time to a rubios and liked it. Good and different selection of meats and lots of options. Had the steak nachos which were delicious and big enough portions. I will come back

The food is what you'd expect. It's good and the prices are decent. The staff is usually nice enough but oftentimes it takes a long time to get my order. It's not a massive problem but be prepared if that is a concern for you. Usually get the nachos or soft tacos, both are good. Some veggie options as well.

It's a pretty restaurant. Nice dishes. Friendly staff. Very busy on a Sunday morning. They menu looked great! Lots of breakfast items and I could tell it would be a good place for lunch or dinner. The salsa was good. They put chips and salsa on the table even for breakfast! Awesome! Their drink menu was great. Lots of margaritas and a good tequila selection. I had chorizo and eggs, a good standard thing to see how they do it. It was decent. I'll definitely go back for lunch or dinner

Pricey but flavors were fabulous!

Always great food, but also always surprised it's so much slower than other fast food places.

It's Rubio's just order the fish tacos Original style and savor the simplicity of the Baja. Great food at this location but service is a bit slower than every other Rubio's I've ever been to. Staff is very courteous and friendly.

I used to work for Rubio's at this location over a year ago. They still have not paid me what they owe according to California labor laws. I have 3 years to sue for unpaid wages in the State of California. They owe me more than $2,000 and are violating my right to work in the United States by refusing to pay me. I talked with a lawyer and I'm suing Rubio's.

This is the only Rubio's I will eat at. Management and staff are outstanding. Everyone is so friendly and the food is exceptional.

I got the Baja bowl with veggies and citrus rice. I am sad I just now found this place. Amazing food and even better service!

Used to be a really nice Rubio's. Seems to have lost their way. Place was not clean. The floors were slippery, tables dirty. Food was fair to say the least. Employees were dressed dirty. No one in the kitchen seemed to be wearing an apron. Salsa bar was a total mess. There are other much better restaurants in this chain.

Eehh, it was ok. Not great, sauce made fish tacos soggy, asked for flour tortillas they came with corn, had to send them back. I don't believe they remade them, that's why they were soggy. Restaurant was low on all salsa and had to ask for napkins because it was out as well. Seemed to me they had quite a few new people working, so maybe it's just in transition.

This place is really good, I have only ate her twice but good damn that bacon shrimp burrito is amazing

Great food but could have been cleaner. Looked like they were short staffed that day.

Good food, order taker didn't exclude salsa as requested. We should have taken it back but didn't. Listening to your customers is so important. Customers matter.

You can never go wrong with these guys the tacos are just so good and I love that they don't limit you on any of the toppings. All the limes and salsa you want without having to ask for it.

Very filling! Great service! Friendlier than Fairfield as well! Family fed quick and painless. Wife says the new smokey oaxacan shrimp bowl is a great value too! Haven't had Rubio's but twice in the last year or so ... Once in Fairfield, once in Vacaville. Definitely planning on it this week for lunch! Much more shrimp in the bowl and tacos from Vacaville too!!!

Restaurant quality food, good price

I have never left a negative review of a restaurant. But after my experience today I feel like I should. The experience was one star, possibly zero stars. The ordering and checkout was easy, even tipped generously. The wait for two street tacos was about fifteen minutes. From where we were sitting, the kitchen and prep areas were visible. I could see the employees looking clearly disorganized, confused and mismanaged. Once I received my food after the long wait, the meat was dry and cold and the plate was wet. While eating and looking around, I noticed the employees moving back and forth from register to the prep area. One woman even was arranging food from plate to plate without gloves on, using her bare hands. Overall very poor experience and I will not be coming back. Prospective customers beware, this location is extremely poor.

Good food for reasonable prices!

I love fish tacos. Rubio's has fish tacos. I love Rubio's. It's that simple. Go to Rubio's and get their fish tacos.

Edit: nevermind. This place is absolutely disgusting now. No one wears gloves. The food takes an hour to be made. Nasty nasty nasty. Don't even complain to the staff. They don't give a damn. Taco Tuesday for the win! Always come here for that. Great prices, great food and mostly great staff.

Stopped here with my Dad and we each had a delicious lunch, a couple fresh fish tacos for me and a Mahi mango fish taco plate for my Dad plus we each had a Corona and it was still under $20, loved it!

Slow. Slow. Slow. That is basically this place. It's like the had to go catch the seafood before cooking it. Never been in here and they have orders done in a timely manner. If you have the patience, sure eat here, but if you want to have dinner before your newborn goes to college, you might want to go somewhere else

Absolutely disgusting. Workers had no gloves, tortillas were being slid down a very dirty prep counter with no plate. A lady was just tossing tortillas from the grill onto the filthy counter with a spatula which required her taking a few steps with the tortillas perched on the spatula over the floor. There were dirty dishes PILED next to a sink. Front register counter had food smeared on it, so much so that I wanted to go clean it myself because it was making me sick to look at it and the NASTY Prep counter. We waited over 40 min. For a to go order of two tacos. Stay away. I will never go back no matter what they offer me until there is some serious sanitation concerns addressed. Gross.

Vacationing from New York this was a shot in the dark for a decent taco before coming home. We were pleasantly surprised that even though the model was that of fast food we got the experience of a full service restaurant with a friendly staff and decent beer selection. The food was made to order and extremely fresh. When ever we are in California in the future we will keep Rubio's in mind for a great lunch or quick dinner.

The place is very dirty. Employees doesn't look clean. Food is being handled with bare hands. I saw an employee used cell phone and did something at the counter and went right back and touched the food with hands. I haven't seen such an unclean places ...Not acceptable. Long wait to get the food ordered. A long line of customers waiting in the line to order food but no one at the cash counter. please DO NOT handle food with bare hands.Even my kid didn't way to eat the food I purchased there stating that the place is dirty. I ordered bean and cheese burrito and it's not good at all. It tasted like mashed beans wrapped in totilla. Didn't find any cheese in it.

It took 20 minutes to get one salad it was not busy, there were 3 cooks the cashier and the manager 5 people! They looked lost. Probably new crew Hopefully they'll improve.

This place was good in the past. Im basing this review on my last 2 visits about 4 months apart. The place is understaffed and mismanaged. The dining room, salsa bar, and kitchen area are all really dirty. I won't be going back to this location anymore.

Bad experience - I waited for 30 minutes with hungry kids only to find out they had lost my order. Food was mediocre and I saw the girl preparing it spill half my kid's quesadilla on the floor. Overall it was an atmosphere of chaos, though the employees were friendly. I would never go back.

It's small but I like that. Plenty of seating. Food is always good. Nice people working there

I asked when ordering, for a small chips and guacamole on the side...being that it took almost 15 minutes....it would have been longer had I not checked on my order but what turned out to be the cook plopped the guacamole on the chips which I asked the order taker not to put it on the chips please. I had to tell the cook 3 times not to do it...he ended up plopping it on there anyway...horrible service!!! When I asked who is the manager, it happened to be the cook that messed up a simple order.. I will not be going back to Rubio's in Vacaville....it has changed a lot...worse than ever...
